Advance registration for speakers and observers opens April 22 at 3:00 PM.
The meeting location is to be determined. The Board President and the Chief Executive Officer have determined that registered speakers who wish to present during Public Participation may have the option to participate in person at the location of the Board meeting or virtually via an electronic platform. The public will have access to the meeting via live stream at cpsboe.org.
The Public Participation segment of the meeting will begin as indicated in the meeting agenda and proceed in accordance with Public Participation guidelines. Board Meetings will be live-streamed to the general public on the Board website (www.cpsboe.org).
For the April 24, 2025 Board Meeting, advance registration to speak will be available beginning Tuesday, April 22nd at 3:00 p.m. and will close on Wednesday, April 23rd at 3:00 p.m. Anyone interested in speaking can sign up. After the 24 hour registration period, a lottery will randomly select a set number of speakers from those who registered. For example, if 100 people register, the lottery might select 30 of them to speak. This process gives everyone a fair chance to address the Board. Members of the public who wish to submit written comments for Board of Education meetings can do so via the Written Comments Form on the Board’s website at www.cpsboe.org or mailed to 1 N Dearborn, Suite 950. Written comments received between the posting of the public agenda and notice is posted through 5 p.m. the day after the Board of Education meeting will be submitted to the Board for their consideration and posted within five (5) business days on our website at www.cpsboe.org.
